Every day we get to choose how to steward the gifts God has given us. When we are people who give, we follow God’s example. At First Pres we give in a variety of ways including the weekly offering, by mail, online through the web or the app, by selling appreciated assets and with vehicle donations.
ShelbyNext is an online listing of the participants in the life of our church – partners, worshipers, youth program attenders, and more. In ShelbyNext you will find our church directory, a calendar of First Pres events and a place to monitor your giving and program payments.
If you are considering making such a donation, please discuss this directly with your financial advisor to determine if giving appreciated securities– and receiving the associated tax benefits–makes sense for you. The Church sells securities upon transfer, thereby making the proceeds available for funding ministry and mission.
The church has partnered with Vehicles for Charity to make the process of donating a vehicle convenient and easy. Your donation supports God’s work through the ministries of First Pres, and it may even qualify you for a tax deduction.
Interns learn what ministry is all about by leading and supporting students from middle school through college in a life-changing relationship with Jesus. Each intern is required to raise a portion of their own salary.
Memorial donors will receive an acknowledgement from the Church. The family of the deceased will also be notified of your gift. Specific gift amounts are not shared with the family. Make checks payable to First Pres. Include the name of the individual being memorialized and, if applicable, the ministry recipient of your gift. Mail to: FPC, 1820 15th Street, Boulder, CO 80302. Financial Accountability and Transparency
For some people, giving is a natural act in response to discipleship. For others, it raises questions such as "How is my contribution used? or "Is the church trustworthy with my gift?"
