In addition to the adult education classes offered on Sunday morning, there are a number of other ways to grow your Christian life throughout the week at First Presbyterian Church. Wherever you are in your faith journey-whether you've only begun to investigate Christianity, or you are in a mature relationship with Jesus-there is a place for you at First Presbyterian Church. The goal of weekday ministries at First Pres is to support, nurture and challenge seekers and believers. It is a place where you can join others like you, reaching up to God in worship, reaching out to others in love.

Thursdays

Meeting Jesus in Life’s Messiness: Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians for Today
Time: 7:00-8:00 a.m.
Day: Thursday
Location: Oerter Hall
Leader: Dr. Carl Hofmann

By all accounts, the Corinthian church was a mixed-up group of Christians. They struggled in many of the same ways we do today: with divisions and disagreements, with worship issues, with sexuality, and much more. Come explore Paul’s wise and warm instruction which is just as relevant to us today as it was to the Corinthians so long ago.

Other Offerings

Wishing someone could help you see where God is working in your life? First Pres offers free one-on-one Spiritual Direction to people with questions like these. Spiritual Direction involves monthly conversations and prayer with another person who has been trained to discern God’s work in others’ lives and encourage them in their pursuit of God.
