Wrestling With Reconciliation

There seems to be no more elusive goal in the real world than reconciliation. What is the future of families split apart, people groups endlessly at war? The more we stare into this level of enmity the more hopeless we become. To face conflict, to express clearly your feelings and listen actively are important parts of conflict resolution. Yet doesn’t the greatest hurt and deepest guilt cry out for a stronger foundation for reconciliation? At the heart of the matter is our estrangement from God. That causes our conflict with others and our being cut off from who we were meant to be. The definitive word of reconciliation was spoken in Christ’s birth death and resurrection all that was necessary to bring new life to us and our relationship has been done. To receive that living Word is also to have the motivation and the resources to begin the work of reconciliation. This is our ministry? Where is it taking place?
