There are times in our spiritual lives when God seems close, when reading the Scriptures and prayer are joyous. But what about those times when God seems far away, when prayer and reading the Word seem dry as dust. The Scriptures, particularly the Lament Psalms, have much to teach us of how to discover the wonderful work of God in our laments and these dark nights of the soul.
