Outreach & Service
God's overarching plan for the world is that people from all nations will worship Him. As we worship Him, we experience the joy of being close to our Creator and Savior. “Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy!” (Ps 67:3,4). Worship is much more than the worship service on Sunday mornings in the church. It includes lifting our prayers to God, enjoying his wonderful creation, and aligning ourselves with God in his great plan by serving others. Serving can take many forms including the ones listed below.

Glory Community is a ministry that will provide housing for adults with functional developmental disabilities with special needs such as those with Down syndrome, autism, and other challenges. The community will eventually include 5 houses. The session of First Pres has graciously agreed that for the next 18 months or so (till Sept. 2012) our church will partner in a focused way with fund raising for Glory Community. The land has been purchased so these funds will go for construction costs. |
