B.J.'s goal working with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is to have Christ transform the lives of college students, transform the university, and develop students into world changers. His passions are to reach out to this generation of students in ways that would not be called “conventional” ministry techniques, and to reach those student groups that are overlooked or shied away from. In San Diego, this describes students living in the beach surfer party culture. B. J. is trying to use every aspect of surf culture, whether its film, photography, music, clothing, etc… as a platform to reveal Christ’s truth and the freedom he offers.

Natalie is the WyldLife Director of the Boulder Valley Young Life area. WyldLife is the middle school ministry of the nondenominational, non-profit organization of Young Life. It is dedicated to introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. This happens through dedicated leaders who go where kids are and develop unconditional friendships with them while providing experiences that are safe, fun, adventurous and life-changing. WyldLife has bi-weekly "clubs" and special events where the Good News of Jesus Christ is shared and kids are able to experience the unconditional love of Christ. Snow and summer camps bring opportunities for kids to deepen friendships, try new adventures and learn more about God. These camp experiences can be the best week of their life.

Although GCF at the University of Colorado is relatively young (it's official start was in July of 1994), we share in a rich history by being part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Since 1877, IV has been leading college students into loving relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Helping students to "Love God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world" has always been the primary motivation of IV. We believe God has called and equipped Christians to be a redeeming influence among the people, ideas and structures of the university and professions, so we're committed to working with those who have the most significant impact in their fields - the graduate students and faculty. Under the umbrella of IV's Graduate and Faculty Ministries, we want to see lives transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed through Bible study prayer, and fellowship - all to the glory of God.

With Campus Crusade for Christ, Chris and Holly are helping to open and expand ministries around the world. Based in Indianapolis, they are on staff with Keynote, Campus Crusade’s music ministry, arranging evangelistic concerts, and coordinating training for international believers who want to have ministry through music and the performing arts. Keynote has been an excellent fit for the Kellums because of their heart for those who've never heard the gospel and because of their musical/artistic background and interest.

Dorothy's husbad, Dean passed away in the Fall of 2004, after a lifetime of ministry and servanthood. He was a Colorado native, born in Denver, and graduated, along with Dorothy, from C.U. in Boulder. First Pres has been Dean’s home church since 1956 and they have been members as a family since l968 when they started a ministry among students in Boulder. In 1971, First Pres commissioned them to their ministry among students in Europe. For 38 years, living in three different regions of the U.S. and three different nations, and ministering by travel into many others, the Truogs have worked to develop “good seed” for Christ’s kingdom by evangelizing, equipping, and establishing men and women as Christ’s disciples who will grow and multiply spiritually as laborers wherever He plants them, throughout the world. Since 1985 they have ministered at Harvard and other Boston area universities, and at the request of members of the U.S. House and Senate prayer groups have been loaned to these members of Congress by The Navigators “to encourage a fellowship around the world with the goal of knowing Christ and making Him known”. Dorthy is continuing with this ministry as Navigator Staff working with the Natonal Prayer Breakfast in Washington D. C., in the Boston area, in France, Bulgaria and Scotland in the coming year.

Young Life has been dedicated, since 1940, to be a missionary arm of the Church to the lost and unchurched teenagers of America, and is now in over 50 countries worldwide. Young Life staff members go where teenagers congregate, meeting them on their “turf”, and trying to build relationships with them and earn their trust so that they can share the Gospel with them. “Club” is the outreach tool of Young Life, a weekly gathering packed full of fun, laughter, and relationships. There is a talk at the end of Club, given by a Young Life leader, that shares the Gospel in a way that unchurched teens can understand. Leaders walk with the teens they disciple through life, in hopes that God will use the leaders to draw the teens they know to Himself. In the fall and summer, Young Life takes teens to a Young Life camp for “the best week of their lives”, where they can get away and hear about the God that loves them, and consider starting a relationship with Him.
