2012 Retreat Theme: “Aiming for Eternity”
C. S. Lewis once wrote, "It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this. Aim at Heaven and you will get earth 'thrown in'; aim at earth and you will get neither." The apostle Paul spoke of churches as "colonies of heaven." How should we live in this world so that we are being well-trained for eternity in God's presence? What practices should mark our lives? This weekend together in God's Word will enable us to refocus our energies so as to more effectively "aim for heaven" as we live for Christ here and now.
The 2012 Men's Retreat took place Friday January 27 - Sunday January 29, 2012 at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. Over 150 men joined together in an amazing weekend of fellowship and deepening relationships with Christ.
