Our local missions ministry seeks to serve the "least and the lost" in the Boulder area. As such, we partner to build low-income housing for the working poor with Habitat for Humanity. We seek to serve the hungry and the homeless through the Lamb's Lunch program on Saturdays. These two efforts are representative of how we seek to be faithful to our calling as a "downtown
church
Lamb's Lunch:
The Lamb's Lunch program provides a safe place for building relationships between our faith community and the community of people who have low income or are homeless. In addition, there is opportunity to share the Word. That horizontal (with men and women) and vertical (with God) relationship-building is the essence of the ministry.
No-cost lunch is served every Saturday from November through the day before
Palm Sunday in The Presbyterian Annex at 1603 Walnut Street. A children's program
is also provided for the children of guests and providers. Periodically, Deacons'
Closet clothing is distributed, haircuts are given, and "survival" items (long
underwear, new shoes, space blankets, soap, toothbrushes, etc.) are given away.

Habitat for Humanity:
Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing. First Presbyterian Church has supported Habitat almost since the Boulder affiliate was established.
Recently, First Pres joined Broomfield Presbyterian, Crestview Christian Reformed and Rocky Mountain Christian churches to finance and build a home in Habitat's Violet Hollow subdivision at 22nd St. and Violet Ave. in North Boulder. We are responsible both for funding and construction of this home. We need your help, regardless of your skill level. Of course there is a special need for men and women skilled in the building trades.
