Address First Pres Letter
In May 2008, the new Congregational Communications Team, which had been appointed by Session, asked the members of First Pres and other concerned friends to give input on the strengths of First Pres and challenges we have been encountering. The results of this questionnaire have been reported to, and reviewed by, Session. This report is a summary of the responses that the Communication Team received. Kitchen Table Talks:
On March 30 and April 2, members of Session and the Personnel Committee met with the congregation for dialogue at the "Kitchen Table Talks." This was an opportunity for the First Pres community to come together to ask questions, make comments, and receive answers regarding the recent budget reductions. The names of the person who questioned or commented have been removed. The names of the elder, staff person, or other church officer who responded have been included in the notes below:

Feel free to write to members of Session (pastors and elders). And please watch for opportunities for corporate prayer at the church and in your small groups, Bible studies, and committee meetings. We need to support each other in humility and grace as we feel our way forward. Although we face the challenges of transition, God has been faithful to this church in the past and we place our trust in Him.
