
Job Description:
To help our big church feel smaller - by connecting people through Small Groups, New Members Classes, Welcome ministry, and church-wide fellowship and discipleship initiatives. Jane is passionate about intergenerational ministry and connecting people and families of all stages of life - with one another and with the Lord - particularly in her role with our new 11:00 Contemporary Worship Service. Jane also oversees the Women's Ministry at First Pres and preaches, teaches, and mentors.
Background:
Jane spent most of her growing-up years in the San Francisco Bay Area, and became a Christian at Vacation Bible School when she was eight years old. She has a wonderful family and church community who raised her and continue to support her in ministry. Jane and Scott were married in 2000 and feel blessed to have lived together in Berkeley, Boston, and Boulder. Jane’s hobbies include taking long walks, trying new recipes, sitting around the table with friends, journaling, going to garage sales, and refinishing furniture. Jane and Scott have three children.
Education:
Jane graduated from UC Berkeley with a MA in Sociology and a Minor in Education and went on to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary for her Master of Divinity.
Vision for Ministry:
Jane is passionate about facilitating opportunities for people to be in relationships that point them to Jesus Christ. This commitment informs her role as the Associate Pastor of Community Life and Women’s Ministry at First Pres where she treasures the opportunity to walk alongside members of First Pres and the wider community.

"But we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us," 1 Thes. 2:7-8.
