Job Description:
In addition to serving as primary teaching pastor for adult classes, as well
as "resident theologian," Dr. Hofmann oversees the Spiritual Formation
and Discipleship department, a rich and diverse staff, which includes Christian
growth ministries to all ages except for the college years.
Background:
Dr. Hofmann grew up in Riverside, CA and has lived in Berkeley, CA, London,
England, Pasadena, CA, and Oakland, CA, where he most recently served ten
years as pastor/head of staff for a smaller Presbyterian Church. He and his
family moved to Boulder in 2002. Carl has a wife and two boys.
Hobbies
In addition to his faith and those he loves, Carl is passionate
about
cycling and coffee. Road rides in the hills and mountains
above Boulder
are a great joy, particularly when they're shared with fellow
enthusiasts, in the church or beyond it. Of course, no
road bike ride
would be complete without a fine cup of drip coffee or a
perfectly
poured cappucino. Carl fancies himself an expert on where
to find the
best espresso drinks in the county. To get a more personal
glimpse of
Carl and his thoughts, check out his blog.
