Come learn about how to move away from a “we need more volunteers” approach toward an “inviting and equipping people for their God-given ministries” culture. Become more effective at involving people in ministry, helping people find a better “fit,” and seeing ministry areas energized. Brainstorm "solutions" to your stickiest volunteer management problems. We are again offering the well-received Basics and Intermediate seminars. At the request of past participants, we are also offering a new seminar: Advanced: Firing and Working Toward Solutions.

Basics: Learning More About Inviting People into Service

In this Basics seminar, you will find out WHY people volunteer and why they DON’T...why they STAY and why they DON’T.

Our context is Scripture, specifically focusing on “servanthood” and “equipping.” Job design, the importance of being intentional, some marketing/inviting tips, and many helpful resources fill out the rest of the session.

A featured panel allows you to hear from those who have a proven track-record of effective equipping, starting new ministries, and/or have modeled committed service for years. This seminar is practical and applicable—you will leave with some things DONE!

Taught by: Shirley Giles Davis and panelists who represent a variety of ministry involvements.
