Dar al-Kalima ("House of the Word") College is the first Christian college in the Middle East to offer advanced training in the visual and performing arts, multi-media, communications, and tourism related studies. The college is committed to building a culture of democracy, critical thinking, and free expression, thus contributing to the strengthening of civil society in Palestine. It received its first students in 2006. Dar al-Kalima has signed a memorandum of understanding with several institutions of higher education in Europe and the USA, including the Fine Arts Department here at CU for an exchange of professors and students.

Dr. Khoury will speak about the current situation in Palestine, what Palestinians face under occupation, and the people of faith who create hope for peace in the Holy Land.
