Come off the bench and get in the game: Nominations for church officers being taken now

Rise up men and women of God! Get ready to accept the challenge this fall from your 2011 Congregational Nominating Committee (CNC). The opportunity to put your faith into action is right around the corner. You or someone you know could be a servant to The Servant!
No special talents are needed to be an elder, a deacon, or a trustee - just a willing heart and a desire to serve the Lord. Leadership is not a matter of being too young or too old, but of responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I Peter 4:11 tells us that “If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” The call from God is not for a special few, it is for everyone. Be more like Isaiah 6:8 when God said “Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said, here am I Lord, send me!”
So, have courage and be encouraged to “come off the bench and get in the game”. Consider an up and coming leadership position at First Pres beginning in 2012! Be prepared to nominate someone you know who would make a good leader or even nominate yourself. This is a wonderful time of change in our church. Why not be a part of it and fill out the nomination form below.
