Frequently Asked Questions

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

Parent involvement is key to a child’s spiritual journey! Volunteer opportunities are available in Sunday morning classes, Wednesday night Base Camp, and special events. Each grade is responsible for one special event a year. Please check out the website or go to the KidTrek kiosk on Sunday morning for more information.

CAN A CHILD ATTEND THE WORSHIP SERVICE WITH ME?

Absolutely! Children are always welcome in any service.

HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?

Registration is important for your child’s safety and our preparation. Family registration forms are available in the classrooms or at the

KidTrek kiosk.

WHO CAN PICK UP MY CHILD?

For the safety of your child, we ask that only parents pick up the child. When other arrangements need to be made, the classroom teachers should be informed at the beginning of class.

ARE THE VOLUNTEERS SCREENED?

All adult volunteers complete an application which lists references and gives permission to do a background check. Volunteers are also trained throughout the year.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY?

Should the building be evacuated for any reason, children are escorted across Walnut and onto the block north of the church. Preschool children and younger are taken to the post office.

CAN MY CHILD STAY FROM 9:30–12:15?

We ask that parents pick up their children between services so that the rooms can be readied for the next rotation.

ARE SNACKS PROVIDED?

Because of allergies, snacks are not provided in the classroom except for special events and fifth grade Sunday school. Fifth grade Sunday school is a special transitional class and snacks are often provided.
