Health Screening On the Second Sunday of Each Month
Look for the Health Ministry “Health Café” banner in SHELDON JACKSON this fall and bring your questions to the nurse on duty. Blood pressure checks and current literature are always available. Conversations are confidential and follow up visits with the parish nurse can be arranged. Be sure to check out all the services your Health Ministry provides to First Pres members and friends.

The Health Ministry Reminds You……
Medical Equipment is Available
Wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, bath benches shower chairs and other equipment is available for borrowing. The loan closet has been organized and items can be taken out at any time. Just check in with the business office and fill out the clipboard provided. For questions call the parish nurse, Daisy-Jo Weaver at 303 402-6423.

Three Support Groups Are Up and Running
The Parkinsons Support group meets every month on the 2nd Tues. at 9AM. There is conversation and encouragement over coffee in the sitting room of the counseling center.
Caregiving Friends is a group of women caring for a loved one and they meet on Sat. mornings one time a month at 9:30AM. Call Barbara Cooper at 303 447-2153 for the date.
Do you have an idea for a support group? Get a few others together and speak to Daisy-Jo. There is comfort and enlightenment in joining together in the context of our belief and our faith.
