About UsGiving

Giving

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. - Psalm 24:1

At the very heart of stewardship is a humble recognition that everything we are and have is a gift from God. As good stewards we are simply returning a portion of the many gifts that he has lavished upon us. Those gifts include our time, our talents, and our treasures. We are truly blessed by the broad reaching ministry and mission of First Presbyterian Church. Our tithes and offerings build and sustain the work of our congregation. But more than that, our gifts support mission work both locally and around the world.

Contributions feed the hungry, clothe the poor, build shelter for the homeless, and provide for missionaries in foreign lands. We are all called to participate in God’s work through our generous and cheerful giving of both our time and our possessions. Our prayer is that you are richly blessed by your participation in the life of First Presbyterian Church and that, in turn, you will be a blessing to others through your generous financial gifts, all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Giving Options

There are three methods available to you to support the ministries and missions budget of the church:

Sunday Services: Simply place cash or checks in the offering plate when it is passed during the service. If you wish to receive acknowledgement of your gift, be sure to include your name and address on your check or on the cash envelope. If you have a pledge envelope, enclose your cash or check in the envelope before placing it in the offering plate during the services.

Financial Accountability

We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men. - 2 Corinthians 8:20-21 (NIV)

First Presbyterian Church is committed to honoring God's provision through the exercise of wise and faithful stewardship. Our Stewardship Principles were authored in April 2009. They articulate the Biblical principles of stewardship and describe the Biblical pattern of stewardship through Grace -- Gratitude -- Giving -- Thanksgiving!
